Antigone, eh? That's from the Oedipus Cycle? We had to read Oedipus Rex last year. I thought it was one of the better things we read and I wrote a really cool essay on it about fate. I actually had a lot of fun with that.

Yup, Antigone was one of Oedipus' "damned children". All those stories back then (Greek times) make me so mad just because the people in the stories seem so...stupid! FOR EXAMPLE: Romeo and Juliet: if they both calmed down, and didn't freak out, they would have lived happily ever after. BUT Romeo kills himself without thinking the whole thing out. Then Juliet wakes up and bam. She kills herself since Romeo is dead. Grr. Antigone: She goes into the cave and kills herself. If she would have waited she wouldn't have hung herself, Hamion (her lover) would have found her and Creon, Hamions dad and the king of Thebes, would have released her. stupid greeks.

the tragedies are pretty awful that way. We had a sub one time while we were reading Romeo and Juliet, and he kept going on about how stupid it was which was funny because our regular teacher had been going on about how it was a work of genius. Anyway now I have finished City of Ashes and am about to start Brisingr.

So I haven't been on in awhile so I've read Untamed (loved it!), finished Brisingr, and read Cybelle's Secret. It was the sequel to wildwood dancing which I liked but this one was way better. It had the whole Sinbad thing going but only sort of. I highly recommend it. So now I am reading The Prophet of Yonwood by Jeanne DuPrau because I saw City of Ember on Friday.

Oh, I really liked that book and Ink Exchange. Right now I am reading Rumors, The Watchmen and Inkdeath sorta all at once. Oh! and I've decided to write a book too. I have been working on it for about a week now and I am really excited about it.
