HI Hippy Child! (sorry is that too much enthusiasm?) Sorry, I haven't met many Pellinor fans. ^^ so, jealous of anyone living in Australia? wow, that's a first, I must say though. I've always been jealous of you guys, in the US! There always seem to be more great books and great authors (and their book tours) over there early than with the scarce few over here. (I'd say Pellinor is one of them)

Eh? I read on the US Alison Croggon site that The Singing releases it the U.S in March, 2009. Is that true?

I can relate. That's the same with me and early US book releases but I suppose I've never had to make a year. Why don't you order a copy from the internet?

I think there is a way that the publishers or internet people make sure that people don't get the books until the release date in the country...but I may be wrong.

I really wish we could get the books from other countries. There is another Australian writer, Juliet Marillier, that I have fallen in love who has two more books out, but not in the US.

I've read wildwood dancing which has a sequel coming out, and it was a retelling of the Twelve dancing princesses. I really liked that one. Then I've also read the sevenwaters trilogy which starts with Daughter of the Forest. That one was a retelling of The Six Swans, and was also really good. There is a fourth coming out for that trilogy. I always think it's wierd when that happens. I believe she is also working two other series. She has a different style than I'm used to, but I think it is really cool.
